Zayd’s story begins with a simple yet powerful statement: “I want to jump, Mama.” These words, spoken by a determined young boy, sparked a remarkable journey of resilience and tenacity. Zayd, like many individuals with rare diseases, faces many unique challenges in his everyday life. Born with MCOPS12, a condition that affects mobility and daily activities, Zayd’s longing for simple childhood joys like playing football or jumping on a trampoline tugged at our hearts.

His mother, Sadia, played a pivotal role in Zayd’s journey. She lovingly encouraged him, saying, “Come on then, let’s jump together!” as she playfully bounced next to him. But Zayd, determined to defy the odds, responded with unwavering resolve, saying, “Nooooo, I want to jump on my legs.”

This exchange captures the essence of Zayd’s spirit—a spirit unyielding in the face of adversity, a spirit that refuses to let his condition define his dreams.
